Meeting 1

Today we discussed the pre production schedule and the roles we are all going to take on, also the importance things we need to sort out and finalise. We decided to do the storyboard together as all of our ideas combined is crucial.
We discussed the possible location of a storage container however we decided that it is too small and won't portray the feeling and atmosphere we are looking to create. We are looking at possible warehouse location to shoot, we have considered the price and whereabouts too. In respect to the lighting we need, we have to find suitable equipment at a good price.

Creative ideas

My Chosen artist is The weeknd.

General background on The Weeknd- he is a RnB soul singer from Ontario Canada. He soon rose to fame in 2011 featuring in Canadian rappers song 'Drake'. That year he released his mixtape 'House of balloons'. The weeknd has created a strong fan base on the uniqueness of his music and his strong minded business ventures. In September 2012 The weeknd sign to a major record label republic records in a joint venture with his own label XO. His second and third mixtapes, Thursday and Echos of silence were also released in 2011 and then he then created a compilation album 'Trilogy' in 2012.

Since then the weeknd has featured in some major songs with very well known people for example Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, Rick Ross, Ariana Grande, Juicy J, Ricky hill and Drake.

   

The song 2 potential songs I have agreed on is 'professional' and 'adaptation'. I chose these 2 songs because they both have a dark meaning and they are both written like a personal diary.

Idea #1: The song is about a stripper who hates her lifestyle and wants to become someone. Our idea is about a stripper aspiring to be a model. There will be three different locations, the first location is Warehouse (Runaway in the warehouse) second location is dressing room and third location is hotel room. The scene starts with the stripper in a bed Her make-up is complete mess (from crying).

Idea #2: Projection screen in the background. To create a shadow of the person (of the stripper) Lighting: strobe lights (flickering to create shadow)
