Exposure!
Shutter speed- higher the speed the darker the picture.
Aperture- lower the number more light (F number)
ISO- higher- brighter but more noise and grain.
50, 3.5, 800- the default settings
Depth of field!
Lower f stop- shallow dof – higher exposure
Higher f stop- deeper dof – lower exposure.
Focus- AF- automatic focus, MF- manual focus
White balance- changes the colours of the picture
In each location and setting the aperture, f number needs to change to suit the location, the lighting needs to be as natural as possible.
The camera needs to be on manual focus rather than automatic focus in order to change the focus to suit your characters.
